25092008097I guess that there are many different parameters that people could use to the quality of the XyUG conference. One of the more popular ones would be looking at the quality of the presentations. For me personally that would be a bit difficult, given that almost half of the time I’m the presenter.

So what turned this conference into an excellent one for me?

Well, I judge things by the amount of social networking that takes place and the conversations ‘after hours’. And by that standard, I found that this year’s conference was an excellent one. I believe it was Deb D. that mentioned to me that the layout of the hotel was so perfect for networking. And the more I think about it, the more I have to agree. A very spacious, yet very friendly lobby with lots of sitting space. Adjoining to it was a nice sitting area outside. And last but not least the complimentary wine hour that by mere coincidence started when the sessions finished!

So what do you folks think about this year’s conference?
