Welcome.

This site has been developed as a guide to existing XyUser Group members, and as a tool for non-members to find out more about the Group. We believe you'll find the information here to be very useful, as it offers a comprehensive reference to all the Group has to offer. What is the XyUser Group?
Since its inception in 1990, the goal of the XyUser Group has been to provide communication, networking and educational services to users of Xyvision Enterprise Solutions (XyEnterprise) products around the world. The Group consists of a volunteer board of directors that represents several markets, geographic regions, and XyEnterprise products; an executive director; and advisory committees comprised of volunteer members.

The objective of the XyUser Group is to remain autonomous from XyEnterprise while at the same time sustaining a relationship based on openness and cooperation. XyEnterprise supports us in this endeavor.

Who is the XyUser Group?
Today, the XyUser Group includes more than 135 member companies in 15 countries and 26 states. These members represent some of the world's most distinguished corporations, publishers, and printers in the world — with countless years of publishing, printing and production experience.

XyUser Group Charter
We will be a positive force for enhancing the productivity and usefulness of XyEnterprise and related systems. Our relationship with XyEnterprise and other vendors will always be open and collaborative, and will be founded on the principle of true partnership.

Why You Should Join
We realize that many of the users of XyEnterprise solutions have distinct needs because of different products, markets, and geographic locations. However, there are far more areas where the needs of XyEnterprise system users come together. As a result, through our membership we are able to present a strong and unified voice to influence product direction and policy to XyEnterprise. In addition, XyUser Group membership gives you access to other users — people who have encountered and perhaps resolved problems you may be experiencing. Membership also gives you the opportunity to increase your knowledge of XyEnterprise products and offers a forum to help you use your systems more productively.

Benefits of Membership

Annual Conferences

Each year, the XyUser Group sponsors two conferences for all users of XyEnterprise publishing systems. The Spring conference is held in a European city while the Fall conference is held in a U.S. city. A key benefit of membership in the XyUser Group is meeting and networking with end-users from all over the world.

Volunteer moderators who present sessions at the conference receive an additional discount on conference fees.

Listserv

The XyUser Group hosts an active internet discussion group for the free exchange of ideas on increasing system productivity and requesting advice from experienced users. This service provides members with the ability to communicate instantly with more than 325 other members. Members are encouraged to submit questions to the listserv. On average, we find more than 1,000 pieces of communication pass through the listserv each month, with many responses coming within moments of a question being submitted. And, very often, we find that member vendor companies or XyEnterprise personnel respond to the questions. When you're facing a deadline — with nowhere else to turn — many users find this service along well worth the cost of membership.
